1. MOI-Symposium 2011

1st MOI-Symposium at the Kardinal-Schulte-Haus in Bergisch-Gladbach

31.03.-01.04.2011

During the 1st MOI-Symposium the scholarship holders as well as the associated doctoral researchers of all 13 involved scientific groups presented their projects, achievements and results to each other and the project supervisors. In addition, they gave an insight to their individual doctoral research projects. The participants listened to interesting talks and had fruitful discussions. We hope this will establish long-lasting scientific and personal interactions and collaborations.

Furthermore, the Manchot Graduate School was able to invite two up-and-coming group leaders, Dr. Nikoletta Papadopoulou from the University in Cologne and Dr. Dagmar Heuer from the MPI for Infection Biology in Berlin, from related scientific areas, who gave excellent 'Manchot Lectures in Infection Biology' specifically for the Manchot Graduate School.

None of these activities and developments would have been possible without the generous funding provided by the Jürgen Manchot Foundation. The Manchot Graduate school was very happy to welcome Thomas Manchot, Head of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, as one of the participants in the Symposium held in Bergisch-Gladbach.
