Kick-off 2017

Successful start to the third round of the Manchot Graduate School ‘Molecules of Infection III’

On the 24th of March 2017 the kick-off event marking the official start of the third round of the Manchot Graduate School “Molecules of Infection III” took place in the university library of the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf.

Following favorable evaluation of the first and second round of MOI, the new edition is again made possible by the generous funding provided by the Jürgen Manchot Foundation and the Strategic Research Fund of the HHU. Further financial help was given by the two faculties concerned.

18 scholarship holders – half of them from the Medical Faculty and half from the Faculty of Mathematical and Natural Sciences - and 4 associated doctoral researchers are looking forward to confronting the challenges presented by the Graduate School’s demanding curriculum.

Two of the scholarship holders, Ritu Mann-Nüttel (Germany) and Ernest Adankwah (Ghana) presented their CV’s and projects representative for the whole cohort.
